Veterinary surgeons
We have a team of 8 different veterinary surgeons working within
our practice. Six of the vets work full time and 2 of the lady
vets work for us part-time. We try to ensure good continuity of
care within the different branch surgeries.
All the vets specialise in the treatment of small animals, and
pursue active further education in various areas. Within our team
we have vets who have particular interests in the following areas
- Dermatology -
all types of skin diseases
- Orthopaedics -
bone, joint and muscle problems
- Ophthalmology -
diseases of the eye and eyelids
- Cardiology -
heart problems
- Soft
tissue surgery -
operations on the different organs within the body
Veterinary Nurses
We have a team of 6 nursing staff. This team is comprised of 4 fully
qualified veterinary nurses, 1 trainee nurse and one animal care
assistant. The nursing team is able to provide advice over the telephone
as well as running nursing clinics
The nursing clinics cover the following areas
- Post-operative checks
and suture removal
- Dressing and bandage changes
- Advice regarding flea treatment
and worming
- Micro-chipping
- Juvenile pet health checks
- Dental checks
- Rabbit and guinea pig nail and teeth trimming
We also run puppy socialisation classes
Within the
nursing team we also have nurses with particular interests in
- Behavioural problems
- Physiotherapy
