Ophthalmology (Eye Care) - Ash Tree Vets

Ophthalmology (Eye Care)

We offer a range of ophthalmology (eye care) services to help keep your pet’s eyes healthy and comfortable. Our team has additional training in veterinary ophthalmology, enabling us to manage many eye conditions in-house.

We can help with:

• Red, sore or painful eyes
• Cloudy eyes or sudden changes in vision
• Dry eye, glaucoma and eye inflammation
• Eye ulcers and ongoing or recurring eye problems
• Eyelid lumps or changes around the eye

General eye examinations are also available, particularly for animals who are at higher risk of developing eye issues, for example pugs, French bulldogs and boxers. If you are unsure if your pet is in a high risk group please do get in touch and we will be able to advise you. These checks can help identify problems early and keep your pet comfortable, as early assessment can make a real difference.

Surgical eye procedures available at the clinic include:

• Eyelid surgery including entropion, ectropion and lump removal
• Cherry eye surgery
• Corneal treatments and repairs
• Removal of foreign material from the eye
• Eye removal surgery when required for comfort and welfare

If you’ve noticed anything unusual about your pet’s eyes, or would simply like them checked, please contact us on 01162793054 to arrange an appointment. We run dedicated eye care clinics with longer consultations and additional tests carried out at the time.
