Senior Cat Clinics

As part of our aim to identify diseases early before they cause an obvious problem we are offering a Senior Cat Clinic for healthy cats aged between 8 and 15 years old who are happy being handled. This will be a bit like a wellness check at the doctors.

These appointments are nurse led and will cover a full physical examination, blood pressure measurement, a blood screening sample and a urine test (special litter will be provided). If significant weight loss is noted by the nurse then these patients will be referred to make a vet appointment which may be on the same or a different day depending on availability.

The results from the examination and tests will be reported over the following week. It may be that further investigations are suggested following the initial screen, this will be discussed if needed. If it was not possible to obtain a urine sample prior to the senior cat clinic appointment an attempt will be made at the clinic appointment.
